Makes no sense, but that's why I use totally toxic free products.

Because the chemicals make the product smell good or keep clothes soft or prevent makeup from spoiling. And most consumers are too dumb to know or care what's in what they're buying.

The bigger question is why they allow the sale of things like commercially (factory-farm) produced meat --- FULL of pesicides, antibiotics, BGH (horomones), drug residues, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
