What is wrong with me?

ocasionally i will have a sharp pain in my heart, like a needle. it will only last for a second or less. But today as i was walking from the bathroom it happened again. This time it felt more like a knife and when it happened i fell to the floor and rolled around in pain for a good 5 or so seconds. after the initial pain went away i got up, but for a minute or two my heart kind of ached, like it was sore. i doubt it was a heart attack, but what was it?

I have had something similar in the past. Fortunately, when it was checked out it was just cramps. That said, it might not have been, so getting it checked out early was definitely necessary. If it is something serious, then waiting for it to get worse might mean that either it is too late, or that you lose the opportunity to intervene before some other permanent damage is done.
