just take it one day at a time, spend days out shopping and stay away from the house as long as you can.then spend some days at home relaxing and giving yourself some self-reflection time
this has helped me, i hope it will help you too

I went through the same stuff when my wife left me, the best thing to do is to talk to the people that u love, and explain your emotions and feelings to them and then they will be able to help u more than any medicine willDepression is sometimes caused by a lack of Omega-3 acids. So buy some fish oil at the grocery store and take it as recommended. Other than that, you can always find some way to occupy your time so you're concentrating on an activity and not depression.
there are ways, but i would suggest considering medication, because it really does help so much.. and there is no shame in taking it
as for other things you can do.
1. talk to a therapist
2. exercise
3. eat a healthy, balanced diet
4. get out in the sunshine every day
5. practice meditation
good luck
be positive
how far away from the monitor is considered a safe distance for my eyes.?
Exercise. It might sound difficult to do when you are unmotivated, but it helps. Maybe try setting small goals, say a short 15 minute walk - even if you don't want to do it. You'd be surprised at how you feel after. Also, I like fruits to eat, like an orange or pomegranate juice. They just make you feel good.
What i did when i was depressed was talk about what i was feeling and sought solutions, then put them into action. exercise seems to help a lot when you feel depressed. work out like once a day to get you blood moving, standing up straight and this is a bit of a stretch, but if you want someone to talk to about how you feel I am willing to listen. Is there any option for netservices to read the books from online websites?
i feel the same way every day. i usually get over it by eating or being around family or friends. if your tired, you just have to get out of bed and do what you want to do.Well just by reaching out here - you are on the right track. Avoid foods that are associated with depression(type into search engine - foods and depression). Exercise, drink plenty of water and make yourself get up and out for at least one hour or more a day. Do the whole nine yards - from shower to makeup and dress and then go to the bookstore to look up books on depression or go to the library to do this. Just go one place out in the sunshine and your mood will elevate. I know because I have depression and a lot of people will tell you to be positive or read positive things when that is not what you 'feel' like doing - so do the 'outing' to learn more about depression - from what causes it to the types of foods that can elevate your mood naturally. Hang in there and push until something happens.

Sometimes medication is necessary, especially if you have a chemical imbalance. Try eating right, lots of fruit, veggies, no junk. Try to get on in the sunshine, it helps. Try not to focus on the things that make you sad but to find some things that lift your spirits. Surround yourself with friend and family that love you even if you don't feel like it. Remember that they do love you. Confide in someone you trust. If your spirits don't lift soon, you need to talk to your family doctor, you may need some kind of treatment. Remember if you have a chemical imbalance, it is not your fault, and even if your depression doesn't make sense it is just as real as any medical condition that needs treatment. It is possible to get through it, believe me, I know.I have been there before. I have tried many things from medications to professional help. Neither helped much. The medication only made me want to commit suicide. I have found that if you push your self to get out and walk and try to become active it will help. The other thing that helped is I got a job in Law Enforcement and there are plenty of people with problem much worse then I had. Just being able to help others has helped me. Good Luck!
focus on the high points of our life - without knowing you I do not know what those points are - but everybody has something they can smile about - even if its life itself. Its all about attitude - maintain that positive attitude - you will feel better - you are a good person - you did wake up today - focus on the good - let the other stuff go - my brother, who had plenty of things to feel depressed about, used to say "it ain't nothing but a thing, if you don't think"...if you don't think - don't dwell on the negative - don't think about those things that get you down - seek out the good
I agree with most of the people who answered that you should express your feelings on why you got depressed with people you lovem trust and that most importantly will give you good advice. If you have no reason to be depressed and you don't know why you get like this, you should see a good therapist. Also, is good to balance your life, cause if your mind, body, mind and soul are not balanced all together, then you may feel empty, sad, and everything seems to be going wrong. getting a pet is very good too, walking a few admiring nature once in a while, meditation, relaxation, Exercise, but also. try to get ont he bottom of this, Why is it happening, when it usually happends..etc. so you can take control over it. Therapist do help a lot. and try not to take medication, that is definetly not recommended if a doctor doesn't prescribe it, and i think is when is totaly serious depression stage.

writing helps me. poems, music, journal entries, etc. hang out with friends. try 2 get ur mind off things & LAUGH! meds are only a quick fix, but in the morning, the darkness will only come back to haunt u. the good way to escape the emptyness is to fill it with a happiness that doesn't drain as easily as pills. NEVER DWELL ON THE PAST ! its over, so get over it. talk to people u trust. *just look on the bright side of life! do-do! do-do do-do- do-do!*exercise,
try to think more positive and surround yourself with positive people. This has a huge effect on depression.
Try to get enough sleep. In proper sleep pattern and make sure the room is totally dark when resting. Researchers say even a small light source isn't good for your sleep pattern.
exercise some more..this helps in a whole bunch of ways with chemicals in your brain.
Keep away from caffiene products they give you a short pick me up but then the let down isn't good.
Having a healthy breakfast and wel balanced meals also helps.
My son swears by yoga.
Most of all work on your self esteem. I was in depression after my divorce and I went back to college. It took my mind off of my problems. Maybe you can throw yourself in your homework. Great grades are great self esteem.
I suffer with depression and the best therapy i have found is walking and writing my feelings and thoughts down. and sometimes i find someone to talk to because if it doesn't come out it will get worse by having it inside. and yes sometimes this is a chemical imbalance. i have felt the emptiness and loss of energy this is why i write them down and put them aside and figure out what i can do to change this. and to answer is usually medication helps to balance yourself emotionally. find a doctor and a therapist you can trust before taking medication because i have found that the doctors don't like to change medications very often but sometimes you have to argue with them until you find ones that work. and always remember you special and you have value
Can one gets Aids by swallowing sperms or by sucking tongues?
Wickedness, injustice, grief, pessimism, trouble, loneliness, fear, stress, frustration, distrust, unscrupulousness, anxiety, rage, jealousy, resentment, drug addiction, immorality, gambling, prostitution, hunger, poverty, social corruption, theft, war, struggle, violence, oppression, fear of death… News about these issues appear in the newspapers and on TV every day. The popular press devotes entire pages to these subjects, while others serialise articles about their psychological and social aspects. However, our acquaintance with these feelings is not limited solely to the press; in daily life, we, too, frequently come across such problems and, more importantly, personally experience them.People and societies endeavour to liberate themselves from the distressing experiences, disorder and repressive social structures that have prevailed over the world for long periods. We only need to glance at ancient Greece; the Great Roman Empire; Tsarist Russia, or the so-called Age of Enlightenment, and even the 20th century-a century of misery which saw two world wars and world-wide social disasters. No matter upon which century or location you concentrate your research, the picture will not be appreciably different.
If this is the case, why haven't people succeeded in solving these problems, or at least some efforts been made to remove such social diseases from society?
People have encountered these problems in all ages, yet each time they have failed to find any solutions because the methods they employed were inappropriate. They sought various solutions, tried different political systems, laid down impracticable and totalitarian rules, stirred up revolutions or subscribed to perverted ideologies, while many others preferred to adopt an indifferent attitude and merely accepted the status quo.
In our day, people are almost numbed by this way of living. They readily believe these problems to be "facts of life." They picture a society immune to these problems as being nothing short of impossible-a dream utopia. They persistently and openly express their distaste for such a way of living, yet easily embrace it, since they think they have no other alternative.
The resolution of all these problematic issues is possible only by living by the principles of the "true religion." Only when the values of true religion prevail can a pleasant and tranquil scene replace this gloomy and unfavourable picture, which is doomed to continue so long as God's limits are ignored. To put it another way, people are enslaved by these complications as long as they avoid the values of the Qur'an. Put simply, this is the "nightmare of disbelief" and the link below for this wonderful book:
http://harunyahya.net/popup/Download.php?WorkNumber=256&Format=pdf
you will find how the regulation of life by the "norms of morality" introduced by the Qur'an revealed to mankind by God will banish the "nightmare of disbelief," how pessimism, corruption and social restlessness can be eliminated from society, how the individual can surround himself with an ideal environment, what spiritual and material benefits he is likely to attain by adherence to these norms of morality are gone into in detail, and finally, that the unique alternative to all these problems is the morality of the Qur'an.
So far, many books have attempted to deal with the social and psychological problems societies face. Yet, what distinguishes this book from others is its stress on the most realistic solution. It also sincerely warns people against the troublesome future they are likely to face if they fail to resort to this solution.
We expect that every reader of conscience will grasp that peace, mutual trust and an ideal social life is attainable only by embracing the values of the Qur'an and will turn to the true religion, which is Islam.
They will then happily join the ranks of those who never suffer, mentally or physically, from any of the above-mentioned complications. Around them, there will always be an abundance of favours, comfort, love, respect, peace and confidence, and moral virtues will prevail. They will know how to earn God's approval, by observing His limits and the commandments of the Qur'an. They will thus, by having faith in God, attain His mercy and at last enter Paradise.
