I'm always ravenously hungry. What's wrong with me?

Question:
I have to actually eat high-protein / whole grain foods every 1 1/2 hours to keep from feeling hungry. It is getting really tiresome, and food is starting to gross me out, but if I don't eat I get hungry, weak, dizzy, etc. I'm not gaining any weight. According to my blood, it's not a diabetes or thyroid issue. any other ideas on what it could be? It's driving me crazy! Thank you.

Answers:
One person suggested that you have a "fast" metabolism and to see your doctor. You already did that and the labs ruled out thyroid involvement. It is the thyroid gland that governs metabolism. It's not diabetes. You're not gaining weight but has there been weight loss? It's time to make a differential diagnosis. Speak to your doctor again and get a full work up. Insist on it if you have to.
I would say you have a really fast metobolism. see a doctor if you worried aboutit.
you have some kinda worms inside you which are making you hungry.use somekinda medicine
Try foods with plenty of carbohydrates, and meats. Your diet may be deficient.
Your stomach may be expanded due to all the food you've been eating. If you can drastically decrease your intake for a couple of days, your stomach will start to contract again and you'll find yourself not so hungry so often. If you can tolerate the initial discomfort, you'll get off to a good start.
Also try doing some sit ups or ab crunches when you get hungry, before you eat. The tightening of the muscles may help control the hunger pains.
Make sure you're not eating because you're bored, or because it's become a habit.
You seem to have a healthy metabolism, as you are able to digest and get rid of all that food as quickly as you eat it. But I've heard that 'grazing', that is eating a very small meal several times a day, is healthier than 3 X a day, as long as you make good food choices. Perhaps you could check with your Dr. or a nutritionist. Good luck!
