iv just had a mole removed from my back and have got 3 stitches that im not aloud to get wet for 10 days,and ideas of what i can put over them to keep them dry so i can have a much wanted bath?
Is it possible to become a morning person, after all of the conditioning to love the night.?

Who on earth told you not to get the wound wet? For the first 48 hours you should not get it wet or disturb the dressing (unless it bleeds heavily). This is when the wound healing really starts to get underway. After that, you can have a shower or a bath if you like, but don't use perfumed bubble bath/shower gel as this may cause irritation. Plain soap and water is fine - then pat the area dry and put a sterile dressing over it.
Please check with the person who removed your mole, I honestly have never heard of anyone being told not to get a wound wet for ten days - I've been a nurse for 12 years and it has always been 48 hours.

better don't take risks! u may use a wet towel to rub your body but not shower pls. if not u will leave a scar for that.

don't risk it, if you get it wet it will get infected have a good wash but dint get it wet.

Try and take a slow shower and cover the stiches with a cotton ball or another thing that absorbs

wouldn't risk it unless you don't mind having to go back for more stitches and getting a scar on your neck.
Why not have a shower from the shoulders down and wash your hair and face in a sink with a big towel wrapped around your neck?

This is quite surprising, to keep a wound dry for that length of time ! Unless you are applying some other medicines I do not see why you cannot after the first 48 hours. I hope you got the instructions right. If you however heard the instructions right then please stick to it

Don't risk it.Just use a pail and a scooper below the stitches and wet towel above the stitches.A lot of troble but better to be save then sorry.
Hi yes i agree with soozy i have also never heard off this too and i have worked for the NHS for 10 years as a orthopaedic plaster technician .Have a bath or shower but be careful.
