What is this white substance that comes out with my feces?
For the past several months I've had a clear-colored substance that comes out with my feces. It seems thick in texture and represents something like sticky mucus when you have a cold. There is no pain associated with the substance, but I would just like to know what it is.
Am I odd for not liking to use public bathrooms?
Answers:
It is probably mucus. You need to see a doctor. It can be an indication of many diseases, inflammatory bowel disease for one.

It is mucus. No one knows how it is produced or why some people have it, but it has been strongly associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Usually, IBS patients experience either diarrhea or constipation, bloating, and abdominal pain which is relieved through defecation. A classical sign of IBS is mucus along with a bowel movement. IBS is caused by different factors such as stress, lifestyle, environment, genetics, and sex. IBS isn't a serious disease and it won't cause cancer or anything like that. If you're in a lot of pain, I suggest you go to the doctor.

If you don't think you have IBS, there's still no reason to be worried about mucus in the stool. Some people have it, some don't.
