What are the causes for migranes and how can i prevent them?
Question:
Answers:
Migraine Syndrome is the result of an inflammatory process involving any or all of the cranial nerves (there are 12 of them). Each one presenting its own symptom. These will include (in part or all) tinnitus, visual disturbances (light sensitivity), facial pain (often mistaken for sinus infection), changes in the circulatory system, heart rate, nausea (to emesis), bowel distress. These are the more common of the symptoms, there can be others.
One of the oddities is the fact even the scalp can become tender to sore. There will be a noted restriction of cervical rotation, particularly to one side.
When one considers the cranial nerves are the sympathetic aspect of the autonomic nervous system. One can imagine what this imbalance of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems can create over the entire body. They are intended to maintain a balance of the body's various systems.
If you wish to verify any of my statements, just press at the base of the skull and note the sensitivity of one side.
