its a different kind of marijuana. The marijuana that is commonly smoked is much more damaging to your body, and much much more potent. The marijuana used in morphine is the same marijuana that is used to make hemp (like in bracelets) and is NO WHERE NEAR as damaging. The illegal one is not used in morhine, because it is illegal. the addictive nature of morphine is not because of the small amount of marijuana, but the other chemicals and drugs that are in the morphine. so dont worry, morhine will not make you addicted to pot, it wont hurt you if you take it at the hospital, and its not illegal marijuana in your pain medication, i promise.

So when people say to legalize pot for medical reasons, they are uneducated that it is already legal. The only ones who want it legal with out a prescription are the addicts.
