There good for you but they conatin traces of heroine.
Most likely not unless they are going to be drug tested it can give false positives for opium in some test kits. I am not aware of any psychotropic effects from just the seeds. But they are good in a pound cake.

If you work where there are occasional or random drug tests; consumption of poppy seeds will give a false positive of taking opium if memory serves.
